I picked up a bookleg Zeppelin comic like book at the record store when I was 15 and it was called Trampled Underground and the Can had a full page spread, I was blown away, I never thought Id even see one, but it took me 30 years and some luck and was able to buy one,, :D 245

Amazing collection! When I was young, 101 WRIF a radio station in Detroit would play live Zeppelin songs on the air at least once a week in the month of September (Zeptember). There was a lot of Zeppelin on Tuesday and Thursday if I remember correctly. I use to get a cassette tape ready and tape them. Robert plant would talk a lot before the songs. I remember he talked about the fascination for automobiles. Then he introduced the song “Trampled Under Foot”. My friend’s dad had different Zeppelin bootlegs, but since then, I’ve never seen any out in the wild. I think you and that guy that wrote the most recent vinyl book on zeppelin are the only cats showing Zeppelin boots. You’re right, Jimmy has a massive collection of boots. He has many different pressings of the studio albums as well. He’s not just a “RL” collector.

That thing is dope! I have a large (16") ceramic plate (art piece) and I have it on my wall with a stand that I modified to hang on the wall. I bought it at a Michael's arts and crafts store. Something like that should work for this monster.

I could not stop myself from collecting all 12 Super Deluxe Sets, each studio Lp then Song Remains, Complete BBC, and West Was Won. The 13th set could be considered as the "Death Wish" Soundtracks which I have 4 Lp. I'm surprised Jimmy has not released a Super Set of "Five Nights at Earl's Court 1975". He also seems to have misled us to believe that He was going to record NEW material himself. I remain trapped in time.....

In another video Dillon showed a different one he just got from a self-proclaimed witch. Interesting weird stuff - like the Manson album. We need Dillon to do a segment!

Well nobody collects zeppelin bootlegs for the sound quality. You have to be patient with them. Since it was taken from lots of different shows, the sound quality varies. Some are rough, some are pretty good.

Great score, man. I have a question. Are there actually promo recreations of "the Object" from the Presence album? Heard they sent out copies of that sculpture to some radio stations or something. Though not as cool as your find, I have a prized box set of "The Quine Tapes." lps of the Velvet Underground as recorded by that great Voidoid in the sky, Robert Quine. RIP, Bob.

I remember buying a Zepplin box set back in the late 70's. The sound quality was fair at best. Unfortunately, it had a double copy of one of the discs though. We took it back to the store, and he gave me another box set. Same deal! I kind of soured on bootlegs after that. LOL!

Just found an original Farm psych album. Was part of a collection of 4500 records I picked up for $1500. When I initially made the offer I had no clue it was in the collection. Blew my mind when I came across it. I went through about 2500 records before I came across it. The collection was already a great deal but man what a cherry on top

Nice pickup Sir! Those are some amazing shows that the songs are taken from. I got into Zep boots about 15 years ago now just listening to what was on youtube. Born in the mid-sixties I was not old enough to have seen them live - never having seen the band and only heard stories about their epic live shows was something we heard and dreamt about as fans, and when I did start hearing the bootlegs I only then fully started to understand the greatness that to me, makes Zeppelin the greatest band in history. Nobody performed live with the intensity of this group before or since.

Had two copies of this at one point bought them from Goldmine over 30 years ago Parted with one about 4 years ago, still have the other copy to this day, numbered 086. Also had two copies of TMOQ YEARS, again, through Goldmine and again parted with one copy years ago retaining my other copy. Also still have STFtR but not the hardshell slipcase as originally issued but the cardboard reissue. My Led Zep boots are quite extensive also, still missing a few I'd like to add someday (i.e. The Awesome Foursome Live at Earl's Court). Really kind of bummed I sold my second copies of each but the money was needed at the time😒

Great piece! You should definitely do a video featuring only zep bootlegs because as you know especially now in later years some people are taking the same shows renaming the bootleg and re releasing it over and over. you could talk about different versions and how in the old days they were complete shows and nowadays they cut them down just my opinion for a good video subject.

Nice to own, but sound wise it is grim,There are some really nice Led Zeppelin bootleg album covers out there,but the sound quality is so bad, sadly the band openly discouraged live recordings hence there is so little of quality to listen too repeatedly. Jimmy Page must be kicking himself in the fact that now there are no quality live recordings worth commercial release.Even the soundboard recordings consist of cassette masters from a Nakamichi deck from my memory. If only they had gone the Grateful Dead route of recording shows, just think what we could have had in our collections now instead of the illicit audience recordings.They were one of the greatest bands in history IMHO.

Starting in 1973 with the hiring of ShowCo as their roadies, every single concert was professionally soundboard recorded. Every single recording is owned by Jimmy Page in a safe in his home. The reason we have some of the bootlegs we do is due to 2 separate robberies that occurred in the early 80’s. So if he wanted to he could release 150 concerts today. But he won’t. Sometimes the roadies would set up their own recording equipment into the soundboard and a lot of those have been leaked. Some are still lost. We’ll probably find another dozen or more recordings considered lost in our lifetime. Like Memphis. Just a waiting game.
