As much as a bummer as it is, they did serve their purpose. We played with them and enjoyed them as children. So even though they have have been damaged, they were at least loved. Even so, I’m still mad at child me because I have some other old school figures that I ruined. This one was far and away the rarest though. I’ll eventually replace all of them but not today

It didn't break because you took bad care of it, it broke because its made of clear plastic, which is very fragile. You shouldn't blame yourself because there probably wasn't anything you could've done to prevent it.

It’s a mixture of the two. The yellowing may have been unavoidable but the other damage could’ve been. Either way, a toy is supposed to make a child happy and it certainly did. So in the end, it served its purpose.

@@Woodyisasexybeast All of the halo figures I have are in various states of disrepair too, because actually getting a complete one is ludicrously expensive in Australia. So I usually buy them incomplete. My favourite one is a very cute Halo 3 Tan elite who is missing his hat and shoulder pads. I call him Mr Elite.
