Rare LP 560 Wheatland International Harvester NOT Farmall

The Wheatland 560's were badged with International instead of Farmall. This Propane version there were only 151 Tractors built. So that makes this a pretty rare tractor.

I got a 560 diesel. I bought it at a auction for $780. The paint was badly faded and it just run but had a miss to it. I brought it home and well I figured it need some love . I ended up gave it a good flush and tuned up motor set valves and fuel pump and also changed out hydraulic pump. And when I started it up it blew every hydraulic hoses and blew up the power steering ram. After all this changed out wheel seals and well I painted it. Today she runs great and use it for raking hay and pull 575 NH baler. My little gem 💎

Used to have a farmall 350 LP, it was a really good tractor. We probably would've kept it if it wasn't a tricycle and still farmed. Good video

I have a factory 560 lp with the wide front . Mine has factory clam shell fenders and factory 3 pt hitch. I can easily run my bush hog all weekend long on a tank of fuel. A bonus of lp is you can adjust the valve from the seat and run it on vapor and only crank up the liquid if your working it hard such as heavy disc or plowing.

You're correct the "Farmall" name was only used on IH row crop tractors. The standard ("wheatland"), the utility and the industrial tractors built by IH were sold with the "International" name plate. There was a bigger version of this series, the 660, which was only built as an International standard style tractor.

I DROVE A 560 BOTTLE GAS FROM 1961 TILL1973....IT HAD OVER 10K HOURS ON IT AND NEVER HAD THE HEADS OFF OR ENGINE DOWN,IT WAS GOOD ,AND GOOD TO US,WE FARMED 5OO ACRES,...HOGS EVERWHERE.....

There were 65,982 International 560 standard tractors made in the 3 forms, gas, diesel and LPG. I'll check the individual breakdown in numbers when I get home.

Nice unusual find. Gas standard tread 560s are also hard to find. The 660s were built at the same time, except they were introduced in 1959 rather than 1958 like the 560 was. The primary differences are: the radiator is raised 2," The engine is sped up another 600 RPM. 560s run 1800 and 660s run 2400RPM, but the engines are exactly the same, and the 660 has planetary final drives. But for the most part, the tin work is interchangeable. The 560s generally use 18.4-30 tires and the 660s generally use 18.4-34 tires, although both have different tire options. There is a fair bit of difference between the Farmall 560 and the International 560. The steering system is much different, you sit farther back on the standard, and of course, the tin work is different.

If you had some liquid left in the tank you could have opend them valves and started that thing. We got a 806 LPG and it sat in weeds for years and we went to start it and at the turn of a key it fired right up

@@FarmAlarm My family and I have always liked International tractors. We had some from the 60's that were International Harvesters. None ran on LP, all were diesel. Still great hard working tractors. I love the older tractors.
