Cheers for this clip haven't seen it since I was a teenager when it first aired on Blue Peter over 24 years ago in early 1988.

This was first shown on a live edition of Blue Peter on 25th February 1988. Also featured on that edition were a Bernese litter, the Flying Scotsman, the Blue Peter Layout and a follow up to Pictures In The Post. According to editor Biddy Baxter's own notes it was a good programme.The film was shot on the 15th and 17th February and therefore is following the 18th February edition of TOTP.

@Led Zeppelin Thanks for the link. I have trawled through youtube on several occasions over the years looking for footage of Blue Peter, but don't seem to ever have found this one before. I have now added the info for the show, which appears to have been Monday 15th February 1988.

It was sometimes live! Remember the All About Eve ‘Martha’s Harbour’ fiasco!

@@francofan100 Yes that was completely unforgettable (and laughable!) - although from what I have seen on these behind the scenes their "live" shows meant that the artists were actually singing properly and not miming and the show was just recorded and aired at the usual time (although if this was the case of Martha's Harbour - why they didn't just edit it out to save the embarrassment LOL)
