I remember going to senior class trip to New York City in 1983. I went to a roller skating rink with my classmates and the DJ put on hip hop bebop. I was in love instantly. I was a DJ at the time and brought that record back to baltimore. I was the first one who played it in the city as they had not even started playing it on the radio then. I DJ the party that weekend and everybody went crazy for it. By the next weekend the record was everywhere
