RARE RECORD COLLECTOR BOOK - Is It Accurate? Tasty Records Altrincham

Here at Tasty we recently got a very rare record in the shop which from discogs I determined to be up there in the four figure range of price. When I consulted the Rare Record Collector they had determined it to be £40 in mint condition! (???)
This sent me down the rabbit hole of comparing rare record prices from my own collection and the shop.
