Here is a rare sight. Rhinos used to be common in the Masai Mara area, but now, due to poaching, the population is down to about 30-40 individuals. They are understandably and sensibly wary of humans and tend to keep their distance.
This is a white rhino, identifiable because they have wider mouths than black rhino, due to the fact they graze rather than browse from trees.
