Seeing how many people got upset with Aaron over this is honestly exhausting. He was raised in a different time, back when people weren’t so quick to take offense at every little thing. It’s frustrating to see fandoms, not just for RAE but everywhere, filled with people who nitpick harmless jokes and act like everything has to cater to their feelings. Words have meaning based on the context they’re used in and the intent behind them-not just the fact that they were said. Aaron’s approach to humor and dialogue is part of what makes him unique, and it’s sad to see so many people losing sight of that because they’re too focused on being offended. The world-and fandoms-would honestly be a much better place if people learned to lighten up and not take everything so seriously
