This video is a tour of the Rosherville Gardens Model at Towncentric in Gravesend Town Centre, it shows the extent of the surviving heritage features which the Homes and Communities Agency are leaving buried and have not given any indication that they will do anything other than build over them, the Homes and Communities Agency have demolished all the key heritage buildings from the AEI cable factory which is a sad indictment of an organisation that should be following its own guidelines on community involvement, the demolished buildings were instrumental in the allies winning WW2 with the Pluto Pipeline amongst other inventions and initiatives. However we can still save key parts of Rosherville Gardens visit / 449755325096424 and show your support for the restoration of the surviving heritage. Let Gravesham Council and the Homes and Communities Agency know that burying everything is not good conservation practice. Pictures of all the surviving structures can also be seen on the Facebook page.

Very interesting and informative. Hope Gravesham council can be persuaded to fund excavation and restoration of site as a visitors attraction. Sad how such an iconic place visited by hundreds of thousands of people, between 1837 and 1913, has been allowed to disappear.

I am particularly interested in the chime of 15 bells in the tower that used to play tunes, cast by John Taylor & Co in Loughborough in 1869/70 for Gillett & Bland, clock makers. Anyone know anything more about them, or what happened to them?

Being a kid exploring round all these places in northfleet back in the early 90s this sort of thing amazes me. I used to go round all the old cement works and tram lines. All the tunnels and caves. Love it
