Your educational lessons into the lesser-known video game world continues. The enrichment my life feels after watching your videos is transcendent. The IGN's, the Gamespots, the run of mill reviewers don't talk or touch too often the niche markets that perhaps won't get as much engagement or views. The sad thing about that though is that many great stories, characters, and engrossing worlds to discover won't often get their chance to shine. You change that. You give a life force to some of these games that I've personally never even heard of. You expand constantly the mind of every veteran gamer who always wants to learn more but often doesn't find enough content outside the mainstream. Your balance is unreal. You touch and talk about all new games(as you should) but you keep viewers of all ages engaged with topics and games that just open our eyes to the rich history of the vast video game world. Your channel doesn't have an equal. You fill a hole in the universe that can't be filled by anyone else. You fill our hearts with love that no one else could fill. You're so very special. Thank you for everything you put into this channel and thank you for channeling your passion into something so useful for the betterment of this planet. Thank you Johnny.

Y's VIII Switch edition got me through some very hard times. It came out right after Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico (where I live). I would play it every day after getting out of work after 6pm. I worked at a big banking building that looked like a palace on the inside... Then I went back home and had no power (for 3 full months). This was one of those games that really helped distract me through apocalyptic times.

It depends really. For Collector/Special/Limited Editions you have to get them often at their publishers online stores for example NISA Europe or Marvelous Europe. Most of the regular editions are offten available at retailers but depending on the IP they might still be harder to find if only few retailers opted to get them and then only few copies. And then ther are the limited releases where we now have some companies in Europe like Signature Editions and Super Rare Games in UK and Strictly Limited Games in Germany. But the main problem with those limited-release companies remains that there is always only one company worldwide doing those lImited releases. Meaning if a developer/publisher chooses Limited Run Games non-US people have to import it and if Strictly Limited Games does a release non Europeans have to import it. Currently most of the better known games getting released with Limited Run Games so thats why it often seems to be like only the US gets the good stuff but I hope that at some point they eighter get so big that a European distribution center is feasible or they find a partner to do it. And then there are the games that really only get a US release but that has gotten more rare. I currently can't remember any game that I'm interested in that hasn't also gotten an European release. On exception is the Release of the Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light 30th Anniversary Edition but as it is only a code in a Box with the the physical items I see it more like a merchandise collector package than a real release. Also don't even look at the games that only got physical releases or Collectors Editions in Japan that's when you really start to cry. Examples of European releases I got are the Rune Factory 4 Special Archival Edition from Marvelouse Europe and Langrisser I & II Limited Edition from NISA Europe. In the end getting physical releases of some games especially Collectors/Special/Limited Editions can get quite expensive if you have to import them.

You know what listening to this made me think about? Something I'd love to see them do on the Switch that they tried to do on the PSP that didn't work out so well... Bring back LUNAR. Now I'm not just saying that because back when Silver Star Story Complete released I looked a bit like Alex Noa (or that I'm named Alex myself - funny self insert I know) but because I genuinely love those games. I went full completionist on them and they were some of the first games I fully bought myself. Plus now that my son is getting to an age where he can enjoy RPGs fully I want to build him up to those. Who knows maybe they can remake Dragon Song to where it's not a complete mess!

@referral madness lunar silver star story touch! It defaults to some crappy filtered version of the graphics but you can go in the menu to choose the original graphics, switch the voice acting to Japanese and some other useful stuff! There are some issues with the music looping and I think the script is mostly pulled from the PSP version, which is either a positive or negative depending on your preferences. But the game itself is the PS1/Saturn version.

I know it's hard to believe, but Skylanders imaginators is one of the most expensive games to buy now for the Switch. Just one look at eBay shows that just the cartridge goes for $90.00, while the cartridge in the box goes for about $100.00 - $110.00, and if your lucky to find the whole starter set with the original box your looking to spend over $200.00. The two main reasons why it's so pricey is because you could only get the game by buying the starter set, there was never a way to buy it separately, and secondly, the game isn't available digitally at least on the eShop.

I get eager to jump back into the action, but Japanese gamers probably have a lot more patience. The plus side is that whenever I finish a Falcom game I feel like I really got to know each and every individual character, no matter how minor to the overall story they may have been. Not sure if it's rare but I definitely don't see it in the wild anymore and that is Shining Resonance Refrain with steel case.

Your the person who actually introduced me to the Ys series I had never heard of it and luckily I had at that time a original Wii console and I bought Ys books: I & II from the Turbografx 16 port of it and omg I fell in love with the original games just like you were saying in your older video when you were praising the game and the music and cutscenes were phenomenal!! And I honestly liked the fighting mechanism where you just run into the enemies with your body lol I got used to that pretty quickly but unfortunately I've never played any of the other games but hopefully this year for Christmas I'm getting a Nintendo Switch for me and my daughter to play and I think my dad said he's buying a Ps5 for Christmas so between those 2 newer consoles I can maybe have a chance at playing the newer Ys games one thing ive been noticing about the Nintendo Switch is I've been seeing a heck of a lot of really good looking Indie games where it has the retro graphic look and gameplay similar to i dunno like SNES graphics but look even better than SNES best graphical games I'm forgetting Alot of the titles off the top of my head but I'm looking forward to buying a few of those downloadable indie retro looking games because that's right up my alley it's ashame it seems like alot of gamers are missing out of these more unknown titles but are newer games but look like older games where the graphics aren't realistic but look amazing on the Switch hardware sorta like games on the Sega CD that weren't the 3-D polygon games but the 2-D games looked really good there's a new title I just recently seen advertised on my Facebook page and man the music sounds badass and the graphics and gameplay looked good too!! The recent game I just saw that's either about to come out or it's out already is a new Indie game called "Steel Assault" and it looks like a Megaman X type of game platform run n gun type of game but the graphics look great!!

Is Langrisser a rare game for switch in general or just that specific edition?

Darius Cozmic Collection is a game I expect to be rare and very expensive down the road. I grabbed that one as fast as I could. Not an RPG, but definitely a limited run on a very legendary shmup series that continues to fly under the radar.

Rare Switch Games? All three you mentioned. Probably others i don't know about in my collection. However, rare games in my collection....oh that's a story for another day.....😉
