Rare, Unique, Old and Rusty Ratchet Restoration

This Ratchet was made by a company called AER-BEA Company Inc. This company makes parts for airplanes. The patent number on this ratchet was granted in 1950 which shows double end, hex head ratchets rather than this square box end design.

Very nicely done! Man that rachet was rustier than I've ever seen. I've got a couple of those and they were never that rusty.

I agree, its rare for me to find an item with that level of rust on it in my area. I wish I had more info on this ratchet but I found it at the flea market and have been unable to locate any info on the manufacturer. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

It's very inventive how you came up with making the bushing using a bench drill and an angle grinder hahah Well the important thing is that it serves its purpose 👍

I've got that exact same ratchet with the jack of both my pickup and my jeep.

COOL! Do you happen to know more about the wrench? I'm still unable to find anything about the manufacturer "AER-BEA CO. INC.". It appears they made airline parts at some point. Also wondering about the square drive versus hex drive. The patent number stamped on the tool is for a hex drive but this onenis square.... Would love to know more if you happen to have any more info.
