Excelente documento !!! Emociona volver a escuchar las voces de Anti Adah, Tio Glyn. Valorar el muy buen gales de Ieuan Arnold. Ver la Capilla Moriah, aún en el medio de la chacra y ver a Beco Williams, Pastor Perrin, Caryn Williams junto a antie Adah y su suave forma de expresarse en galés, en torno a las sepulturas de Abraham Mathews y Lewis Jones. Ver al joven Tio Héctor Mac Donald, relatando ajustadamente la historia de los canales. A las bellas Irma Hughes de Jones y Luned Roberts. Qué decir del asado, y del asador, a la intemperie, como era la práctica por esos tiempos (no existían los "quinchos"). En todos los diálogos estaba presente la pregunta y la preocupación acerca de la supervivencia del idioma galés, como así también la pregunta de si el entrevistado se sentía más argentino que galés. La respuesta en casi todos los casos, fué que se sentían argentinos ó que tenían similar sentimiento por ambas pertenencias ( Ieuan Williams por ej.) Seguramente esta preocupación por preservar el idioma galés en la Patagonia, dió origen a los programas de becas de jóvenes galeses del Valle a Gales, para que luego fueran docentes ó vectores para reinstalar el idioma en la juventud, como así también los diversos cursos que se organizaron en todas las ciudades de la Provincia, a partir del envío de profesores venidos de Gales. En suma, muy buen documental !!!

Apenas 100 años y un poquito más del 1° desembarco . Hermoso video. Tengo raíces galesas maternas. Pero el idioma llegó hasta mi mamá. Ella ya tiene 88 años y habla galés. Yo solo algunas palabras sueltas y nada más. Es parte de la historia Argentina y sureña este documento.

Not sure if I have Welsh ancestors. I think so. My surname is Newton and my ancestry includes Wheelock, Ward, Larkin, Lokin, Kemp, Gosse, Cooper and others

@@MrLaizard indeed, some of those names are classically Anglo-Saxon in origin. Though large parts of Wales had been inhabited by ethnic English for centuries.

Podes cambiar el subtitulo en en ícono que aparece en la pantalla de forma de rueda dentada, aprestas ahí y se te despliega una venta y podes elegir el idioma que quieras.
