Why would you grow citrus in a greenhouse if your in a acceptable climate.

Climate change!

@@NOIDDragon even with climate change your either in a citrus 🍊 area or your not. It’s an economic failure for a production grower in the USA to grow citrus in greenhouse and pots except for resale nursery to keep trees certified clean and pathogen free.

@@NOIDDragon I’m a small citrus and avocado producer and have only 1500 trees around 35% being citrus trees. I would barely cover the inputs and the property taxes associated with a commercial greenhouse if I filled mine with the most profitable citrus varieties. Space so costly must be used for higher value crops in order to generate any real income, so I’m assuming he is planning on moving the trees into the ground outside of the greenhouse soon.

This was an experiment that I didn't share. Basically to increase the off season growth of young citrus.
