What if your internet connection suddenly disconnected while you're having a class, what will you do? 3. What will you say to the world for 30 seconds? 4. Your student is not listening, he keeps on playing his robot during your class, how will you catch the attention of your student ? What if you're teaching an adult?

I am not sure if it is about typing teach. I also failed my typing test but I am now teaching in this company for 10 months. Base on my observation, I think you need to explain "is and are" a lot easier., think of the student as if she's a zero level student who doesn't understand some English terms like "subject", also try to explain it without adding too many words as it will make the student more confused. I experience working in different ESL companies and I think Rarejob is the best. Staffs are very professional and they really care about their tutors.

Sis, I think you possess a good character of being a Teacher. Typing test shouldn't be a major factor on evaluating a teacher kasi minor factor lang yun. Delivery of the lesson, passion in teaching and good communication skills, yan dapat ang basehan ng RJ. Ang typing skills, mabilis lang yan matutunan esp kung sasabihin sayo if yung ang flaws mo pero dahil magaling ka magsalita at magturo, papasa ka. I think, RJ Evaluation does not focus on the core of true teaching skills. Btw, Teacher ako. 😊

I would have to disagree with you about sa typing po. Yes, the factors that you've stated are necessary and wonderful, but in this day and age, working online requires you to type. And mas efficient mag work kapag mabilis ka mag type. Kahit manlang maka 35-40wpm pwede na yan. Iba na po kase now, halos lahat ng jobs now involves typing. Napansin ko rin to sa ibang online ESL teachers; habang nagtuturo sila tinatype nila yung words, tips, lesson plans, etc. kay student. And kitang kita mo na kapag mabilis mag type si teach, hindi na aapektohan yung lesson nya. So, that's why need parin somewhat mabilis mag type po. Ayun lang haha stay safe po.

Not only will it help the students realize their mistake, it also works as some kind of record for their mistakes that allows us to point out and correct their mistakes easier.

Tips for passing rarejob evaluation: They are very strict when it comes to grammar and pronunciation. They focus more in accuracy rather than fluency. For the grammar, try your best to be as grammar-conscious as possible. As Filipinos, we tend to have the apparent accent of t/k/p. For example, "object- objek," "that- dat," "example-exampol," "the- da," and "subject- subjek" so we need to be careful about that. Next, avoid filler words like "amm, umm, uhhh, ahh." I suggest that you pause if you don't know the next words that you are going to say. You need to ace the simple demo. It's a very simple topic about is/are. You need to explain it as simple as possible. Be confident and be mindful of your word choice. After your evaluation, go to your account and look at the training log. There you'll find the evaluator's comment on your performance.
