Would you consider making a video discussing the typical qualifications for quantitative traders, and what steps you would recommend someone take to break into the hedge fund industry? To my understanding, a hedge fund analyst typically has an applied math/comp sci background, but you mentioned at the end of your video that it's possible to go from IB to hedge funds?

There are many types of HF strategies and roles within each. While some are focused on quantitative trading, many others are looking for skills that are more helpful in the realms of fundamental analysis, credit, macro, commodities and exploiting various types of other arbitrage relationships.

They are liberal arts colleges so that means undergrad is more broad than you specialise with a grad degree. Hence why Harvard has a graduate business school. That’s compared to a research university which focuses on more technical skills from the get go.
