This is true, I was about to say that an additional reason is that the easiest path for the electricity is through the wire, not the bird. So, when a bird stands of 2 wires at once, the electricity will see a new path, and this path would be the easiest route to get from wire to wire, electrocuting the bird

Here’s a story time me and my family were going on a hike in Hawaii. It was like 100° and I saw someone that was being covered by a shirt and four people were holding a shirt over him. He looked about in his 50s or 60s a fire rescue helicopter had to come up on the helicopter pad and escort that man out on a stretcher. I’d pretty sure that was from heat stroke and that was kind of scary but cool cause I’ve never seen a helicopter that close before.
