The beat in question which Ras Kass bought ended up becoming "We Gonna Make It" by Jadakiss, which was released in 2001. Before that, Al was mostly working with Defari, Dilated Peoples, Eastern Conference Records, etc. Nas doesn't use Alchemist as a producer until God's Son in 2002.
