Casual is the father to a lot of underground MC'S styles. I think Casual was on Jive records for that album and after him and Del both had crappy experiences with major record labels they then helped to create the underground independent grind. Between Freestyle Fellowship in Southern California and Hieroglyphics in Northern California them dudes all made the independent hustle a viable way to maintain a career in hip hop even without corporate money. Casual is mad underrated as a dope MC and as a pioneer.
