Totally agree. Retail guys really have no idea about the stuff they sell. I had to argue with a sales associate at Macy's telling them about Eros Energy. They were sure there was no upcoming release from Versace. I was like "I've already seen it sold online"......

I’m in UAE, multiple times went to Rasasi stores & couldn’t find “Hawas Black”. The Last Time I asked about it the sales representative told me that the company told them to deny any knowledge about the product! On a side note lately Lattafa recent releases were reviewed on KZbin by Western KZbinrs & couldn’t find them on local market!

It was released by Orentica. That company spun off from Al Haramain and during the startup they used leftover Haramain bottles. You can find it now as Orentica XO Bleu Oud Exclusif.

Another issue with many people are their orders from joma, fragrancebuy, etc dont have Rasasi imprinted on the cap. People are saying those are fake, and honestly, it does seem odd that some do and some dont.

I hope that’s just on black! I just checked my og Hawas cap and there’s no “Rasasi” there either…😮. (It’s real though) or the fakers are faking so well, i don’t care on that one. Lol I wore that stuff all summer, It’s beautiful. However, Back sounded a little “dark” for that DNA. I’ve been mulling it over though and I think i might just go for it.

A few weeks before the release of Spicebomb leather and Versace Eros energy. I asked a macys rep. If she knew the release date, she looked at me and said those fragrances didn’t exist. I just told her to check their delivery truck they should come in any day now. She just looked at me like I was crazy.

😂 This is SO TRUE! The go-to I always get from the sales people when looking for a frag they know nothing about is "oh that was discontinued". And when I call them on it and showing them that their site has it for sale, they'll say "oh they're just getting rid of what they have and then it'll be gone". They literally don't know, but they want to seem more informed and will flat out lie. Great video! 👍

I also realized it's useless to ask sales associates about any recently released fragrances and thought it would also be be the case here. Back when Dior Homme 2020 was released, I went to a department store here in Korea and knowing that we usually get things late, asked when it would be available here just so I could see how bad it was(since everyones initial impression was bad). Sales associate had absolutely no clue what I was talking about and seemed stunned when I tried to explain it. 😆

There is an option 3 and usually happens a lot....(partnership broken between 2 big sharholders and one went in the business alone releasing something using the same company name and in paralell you would find them fighting legaly till one of them wins and owns the name of the company)

The Hawas Ice "New Arrival" on the website may indicate a re-stock. Regarding Hawas Black I believe they are relasing it first outside the Gulf, as maybe it is a bigger market for them. Although I tend to believe it would be better to release it on their local market to watch and reveive the feedback before releasing it on a bigger market or more stores abroad. Anyway, crazy stuff which also helps marketing the product.

When Hawas ice was launched and I saw everybody talking about it in the internet and every frag influencer reviewed it, I went to all the Rasasi stores around me which happen to be a lot but all of them told me they never heard about this product. It became available about a year after launching it in the US. Btw I’m from Oman and Dubai is just next door 😅

The Al haramain amber oud and Amber Oud are the same company though. Orientica is the sister company of Al Haramain and they make the Amber Oud line in that bottle because their other XO bottle wasn’t selling as well.

Did you know that the Rasasi family is having internal problems? Some of them live in Dubai and some of them moved to the USA. Those in charge of distribution and affairs on this side of the country released that perfume for some reason?

I did some investigating and Al haramain/haramain/orientica are all under the same umbrella company. Orientica xo xclusif oud wasn't selling much so they turned it into amber oud exclusif blue as an extrait and haramain amber oud blue edp is it's own fragrance from the original line....... interesting stuff they do to make sales

The al haramain blue is a weird one. Because they are blue, red and green. And a actual confirmed sub-brand of alharamain are actually selling these, but in a diffrent bottle for $20 more. Maybe these are fake, maybe these are re-bottled in a firrent style.

rassasi just doesnt wanna get sued...... period.. it smells too close to someone who would sue them, it smells better to someone who would sue them.. and for that we have this drama... period.. great fragrance. since it such a cheap fragrance i have been traveling with it, much better than traveling with my hacivat, and i got so many compliments this week... like people are a little offput to ask but when they do i tell them im wearing hacivat because its easier to explain..... i can see how this would be an issue because trying to explain that its a rassasi fragrance is much more difficult and the brand probably doesnt care for that assumption

I purchased my bottle of Rasasi Hawas Black from Perfumebox. My bottle of Rasasi Hawas Black has the Rasasi name on the cap . My bottle starts off fruity-citrusy. (Pineapple/bergamot/ grapefruit) It last 25-30 minutes. Then it drys down to patchouli/oakmoss/ woods scent. Very mossy!! Smells VERY close to Hacivat. It is a strong fragrance though. Layer it with Qaed Al Fursan or Rave Now. It smells so much better.
