Rashaad really showed that there are LEVELS to this. I personally liked futures round; however, more movement doesn’t always mean MORE. ENERGY is the current currency in the street dance battle world due to platforms like W.O.D AND RB (dance your style.) People are looking for energy and smiles due to the commercialization of it but it’s refreshing to see dance/popping be regarding in this way where it’s like nah we see the value in the pocket, musicality and riding more than the 8 count. Respect to both but Shad took it respectfully.

I don’t think he gassed as much as it was he felt he had done enough. If you look at the clips AFTER and BEFORE he exerted a TON of energy in those battles. I believe it was a skill vs will thing, but hey that just an outside perspective as I’ve watched it. This battle is very interesting tbh.

Idk how this happened if they aren’t cool anymore but 1 thing I can say that when the idea of greatness or this is the best way is involved many times it’s hard but you have to forge your own path and let what was be just that. Ppl can come back around at any time and claim that comradely back. Sometimes you just have to disconnect to see your own thoughts and emotions. Look at Ness and Greenteck or Salah and Greenteck. Great dancers are hard to be cohesive bc both have their personalities and strengths

Two different ideologies. A clash of approaches. One can respect Future’s admiration, influence, and impact on the culture, but Rashaad brings something that resonates with those attempting to maintain the authenticity of street culture in this street dance we call ‘popping.’ Future is fun to watch, but Rashaad’s funk and soul is too strong; moves are moves, and sometimes the foundation doesn’t need to be diluted, if ya know what I mean…or eventually we’ll have nothing but Allstyles battles.

Damn, seems like Rashaad has a lot of work to do with himself. Becoming the thing he sought to destroy (in Ryan). Sad times, decent battle, should have been way more rounds. Rashaad also cut his rounds short, no ground game, but nice hits and feeling. Can't decide on these two rounds only, needed more for sure.

I must've been out of the game for a good minute. Rashaad & Future use to be an ill combination. Even when they battled each other, you still had a great show because they had a vibe that they fed off from each other. I don't get that same vibe in this video. Did something happen? They don't even seem like respectful associates, let alone friends.
