Absolutely perfect run fit. You almost never see LBs do that now because theyre too small. Very few are willing to do that. That run fit was made for ray to make the tackle. You see why that defense was so dominant for years.

Ray was just a bad dude. Only a few in NFL history can get him to move backwards 1v1 in the hole. Mendenhall had a head of steam and ran into the brick wall that was Ray Lewis. Bart Scott also took on the FB block very well here. That defense was something else man...

I feel Rashard when he says he felt like his arm was missing. Got a "stinger" in my shoulder one time and it honestly felt like my arm was gone. Had to check it a couple of times to make sure it was still there. Can't explain it any other way.

This is exactly why I always bring up the argument that modern day football is nowhere near as physical as football during the 90s all the way up to the early 2010s. All the stats in records that are being broken on the offensive side of the ball would not stand during the early 2000s in late 90s NFL football. Defense back then we’re allowed to demolish offensive players to wear now a defensive player has to make a split decision to even determine if he wants to make the tackle aggressively or not.
