I'll never forget something Charles Barkley used to say about Rasheed Wallace during his prime years - and this was during the era of Shaq, Duncan, Garnett, etc.: "If Rasheed Wallace wanted to be the best player in the NBA, he CAN be!" He was a player who had all of the tools for greatness - a great post game, 3-point range, and a superb defensive game, among other skills - whose persona overshadowed his play in the eyes of more casual observers and maybe even among members of the media. His going to Detroit in 2004 became a critical reason for that team's success and cemented their championship identity. IMO, he's a dark-horse Hall of Famer, even though he'll never get the nod because of his many interactions with the refs and the like.

deloused2829 NBA is to offensive friendly..no defense can be played until the playoffs..it's not real competitive..shit is trash...Paul George is great and been great since he got in the league...top 10 to 15 player most his career..now he playing like a top 5 player since they really abolished defense this year..no coincidence..Luka a 19 year old kid from Europe who is not physically developed to dominate the NBA the way he is is looking like a legend in his first year..Luka is very skilled and he gets by off his skills and iq...but it's way to early for Luka to be doing what he doing....it's all because of the no defense this year...James harden scoring 30 or more for 31 straight games...he is great but gotdammit he ain't no Jordan Kobe or T-mac and he breaking all they records...I don't believe in James harden like that...kemba Walker averaging 25 points no disrespect to kemba but he ain't no kyrie or Lillard or stephs level..he is just a tier below them and might be in that tier alone because there ain't too many great pgs after kyrie Lillard Steph and kemba...Russel is overrated and it's finally shows this year

Gem of a comment! I was like hey, why haven't I seen this on a highlight reel before? I actually hadn't realized it was the slightly overweight version of Shawn there under the towel. Thanks for pointing it out.

dude, Mark Jackson making a layup would've made Shawn Kemp react like that in those days.

I wonder what Pippen's legacy would have been if he and Rasheed would have won a championship like they were a quarter away from winning one in 2000.

Man we've had some pretty damn good teams considering a small market and MJ was a permanent roadblock for a decade. We'd have beaten Portland would have won a chip had the Malice at the Palace never happened and who knows against Miamia had Granger not been injured all year and Hibbert didn't forget how to ball (although not Reggie's team but the last quality one)
