Take away Rashford being a local lad. Take away him being an academy player. Take away his off field charity work. Take away his ridiculous wages. Take away his social media brand PR nonsense. I don't think United are holding on to players because they want to, I think they are doing it because they are literally unable to sell them. Maybe Rashford turned down Saudi because he wants to play for England... or because Saudi aren't stupid enough to give him 350k/week. And that goes for so many United players, the wages they are on is far beyond their ability and other clubs aren't willing to pay that and the players are willing to take a MASSIVE pay cut.

Two, other clubs need to offer wages that current United players will actually accept. And three, United players actually have to want to leave themselves and accept wage reductions at another club. Ultimately, clubs can only do so much to try and force players out. If players ultimately refuse to leave then the club can’t force them to. I think far too many fans overlook this far too often.

I don’t think you can ignore the Lingard model when talking about Rashford. Jesse Lingard went out on loan numerous times at United and became a formidable player. We had him at Brighton for a bit. And I’m sure Rashford would do the same, once he gets out of the United spotlight. I don’t know if it’s the pressure of being a United player, or the environment that these players are being coached in at United, but something is wrong. There’s something rejuvenating about getting away from United and that should be an extremely worrying statement to any United fans and owners. What is it at United that is killing the joy in these young players? Look at Wanbasaka at West Ham? Yes, West Ham aren’t playing amazingly, but Wanbasaka looks like a new player recently. The environment at Man United and the experience at Man United needs to be looked at. That’s why I’d seriously consider just asking someone like Simon Sinek, to come and have a look at the club. He is an expert in how businesses fail, and he may decide that looking into a football club for free, just from a research and curiosity stance🤷‍♂️ It could be something as small as one person being the place down, and that might be Rashford?
