Maharaj has lived in Vrindavan for over 15 years and recently moved to the USA to pursue starting a temple in NY. He also recently took the order of Sannyasa at a young age.

It is a matter of great joy to see such a pure and humble soul. If you have been to new braj, California then it is no surprise that someone like Maharaj is the fruit of that land. I never thought we would see such pure souls come from outside of iskcon but when I see these devotees it is symbol of unification between iskcon and the Gaudiya math. Maybe there is a world where we can get along and put the institutional considerations behind us and just do Kirtan together - literally chant and be happy

I’m glad this swami is clear the wearing robes is to show dedication and academic learning ,not realization. Iskcon makes gurus out of swamis rather than just having them a conduit for the guru lineage and Prabupad. This has caused untold number of problems.

Iskcon adheres to the flawed “fall from Vaikuntha” doctrine which deviates both from Prabhupada and Scripture while GM claims that no one can fall from Vaikuntha as consistent with their scriptural basis of Gita and Bhagavatam

Your question regarding an objection being raised about the legitimacy of the Gaudiyas being in Madhva sampradaya was a good one @32:57, and I feel that Swamiji's answer was a bit offhand and dismissive in saying that people who raise this doubt are illiterate. There may be a connection in terms of diksa but the fact is that Gaudiyas have their own philosophical outlook that differs from the Madhvas. So in what sense do they align themselves with Madhvas if they don't preserve the philosophical conclusions of Madhva sampradaya? What I find especially ironic is the need to establish the connection via diksa, when the parampara of Bhaktisarasvati Sarasvati Thakura is a shiksha parampara wherein the diksa relationship between some parampara members is non-existent. So a question can be raised then what is the shiksha received from the Madhvas? Taking into considearion that, according to the shiksha parampara concept, shiksha is more important than diksa. The doubt is a valid one and deserves a valid response.

Hare Krishna prabhu, Mahaprabhu himself accepted the Madhva Sampradaya so why there should be any doubt? The Bhagavat parampara established by Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura itself shows that we belong to the Brahma-Madhva- Gaudiya Sampraday

Also there is two kinds of diksha, formal diksha (ritual) and real diksha, only giving mantra is not real diksha, but when divya jnana is awakened this is real diksha. Maha bhagavata Vaisnavas don't require a ritual to give diksha, they can give diksha through Hari-katha or throuh instructions etc

there is a gross and complete misunderstanding of Advaita Vedanta in the Gaudiya bhakti organizations .Prabupad especially misunderstood and passed on a negative hostile view of " mayavaddi" or non dual teaching.. . the teaching " I am God " or I am THAT , doesn't mean the personality or ego. it has nothing to do with the PERSON. I am ONE , means the small illusory "i" has been swallowed up or dissolved by the cosmic "I".. this is not a boring flat state that a person has and feels sad there is no devotion.. , the flute is played by krishna but the hollowness the sound coming from the empty space has no independent individual self that is devoted.. losing your personal identify and knowing yourself as the Universal Self is from the description of the great sages say" the individual mind can never fathom the universal mind" so these bhakta swamis speak from a purely academic level . .. they dont understand that people are born with different samskaras and different inclinations. some are more inclined to devotion and duality and some are more inclined to Jnana and nonduality. each path can take the devotee to the highest realization. this interview ended up sounding like an evangelical fundamentalist who seems to genuinely believe his path is the highest, and best and fastest.. this is spiritual immaturity. there is a smell of ego in the guise of humility. here please check out the youtube talks by Swami Medhananda on this topic

Also, the experience of svarupa is rejected by the bhaktas because the experience is a static thing. It's a svarupe-vasthanam experience which many great saints have already rejected because bhakti is something that is unending. What's the static experience of mere brahman compared to the dynamic experience of param-brahman? It's like comparing water in a puddle to the ocean. Bhakti is not a static experience where the consciousness abides in its own nature, it's where the consciousness finds a reason to serve the cause of all causes.

This is true. I’ve been in advaita path for so long. It is truly grossly misunderstood. I agree with you 100%. There’s nothing wrong with Bhakti either. The power of the mantra can give you the same experience depending on your karmic merit. They don’t understand this. Even in the advaita path you have a personal relationship with God. Both paths have mantra japa…sankirtan, seva.

Yes...even with the Catholic Christian mystics, like St. Catherine of Genoa, St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross, they describe a state of oneness WITH the All...and it's described as immesearable LOVE, Joy, complete fulfillment and satisfaction. So although ONE WITH", there is still this "relation to" that is full of the greatest intimacy. I can't explain it, I 'm not in that state, but glimpses yes. I love the way Krishna people worship, the muci, the singing and the freedom of MOVEMENT in the dancing, and the prasadam, all very powerful in drawing ne into sweet state of relationship to God, Krishna.
