Hojlund got injured! I'm gutted!! I wanted them to go head to head in the new season. Hope the guy recovers quickly!!🙏

Jackson is technically much better to me even though I rate both, but the way the ball sticks to his feet when he recieves it even under the pressure of strong players (better hold up play) impresses me much more than Hojlund who fro what I've seen this season struggles to hold up the ball correctly against strong defenders since he isn't as technically gifted and this is why I would pick Jackson over Hojlund because for me a player with this kind of technical abilities will always have the upperhand on a player that doesn't so besides if Hojlund becomes a goal machine who scores much more than Jackson in that regard I don't see him being better but time will tell I do believe that Jackson has a higher ceilling to become the complete CF

Well said.. I definitely think Hojlund can and will be a prolific goal scorer but in terms of overall link up, ball carrying and also winning the ball in the front line Jackson is definitely the winner. Also when think about the fact that he did not start as a striker but did so well as one when he transitioned. It makes me wonder how much he can improve in a season or two. But two great players. I'm hyped to see what they both can do.

Higher ceiling lol Hojlund and Evan Ferguson has the highest potential and the highest ceiling for the next gen strikers...they have potential to be generational strikers...Jackson guy can be a world class player as the highest ceiling but not on the level of Hojlund...he may be better now but Højlund has way way higher ceiling.

@@Rinasaea23 I will always believe that a player who is technically gifted has an higher ceiling than a player that doesn’t because these are things that you are born with and hard to train unlike finishing which can be improved (and both need and will improve it) now for Hojlund to surpass Jackson he will need to be a much more efficient goalscorer and for me if you boost every Jackson qualities to the max same with a Hojlund well Jackson will come out as better because he has much more rounded game

My take here is even though technical celling can be a limitation of Holjund, Hojlund’s box instinct is something that can’t be taught. The way he moves around the box to lose defender guarantees goals for him.

Did take that into account. But Jackson they both broke into first team football at the same time.

A new signing is worth nothing if they cannot fit the system of the manager. Hojlund signing seems like a jigsaw puzzle piece to complete a bigger picture that Ten Hag is building. Man Utd could have signed Kane or any other striker with better stats but clearly, there is a pattern of playstyle that suits a Hojlund-like striker that Ten Hag seems to prefer. Jackson on the other hand seems like a generally good striker same as Nkunku or Sterling, but if there is anything to learn from the past Chelsea signing is that they are generally signed based on their pure abilities disregarding whether they fit the Chelsea style of play. Aubameyang, Felix, Timo, Harvetz, and Sterling are good examples of that.

I agree with both statements. Hojlund definitely fit's Erik Ten Haag's system, and Chelsea normally does buy player based solely on ability. But, hear me out. They could have also bought a player with more experience, but Jackson fits Poch's play style, with his ability to get teammates in the game, leading from the front ad his work rate. That is why it why it was soo hard for me to make this video. I think they both fit. I guess only time will tell.

@@tacticalfootballfanatic I hope Jackson succeeds. I have him in my FPL team, that's how highly I rate him. I just feel Hojlund is joining a more structured team and it is easier to see where his supply lines are going to come from. It is difficult to know where Chelsea's creativity is going to come from considering the fact that they sold their entire midfield and are still in the transfer market for midfielders. I hope they both succeed. It is always refreshing to see new young strikers in the EPL.
