I just about have the next video ready. In this video I talk about how to build a simple assembler. This assembler will be a very simple assembler that really only translates instructions. Future videos will enhance this assembler. BTW - this assembler will have slightly different syntax than the assembler documented in the ARM instruction set manual. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the video mate! I've been unable to get any code to boot on my pi zero w and it looks like that's because I only had my kernel.img and I evidently require those other files too.

One question: For example I buy all the parts on the raspberry pi 3 module (soc, sdram etc) and create my own pcb. When I load my OS on the SDcard will it boot without the need of any raspberry pi low level os or something? Is the OS on sdcard the only needed software to boot the qualcom soc system?

I suppose that depends whether you have the ROM component containing the proprietary software (like a BIOS) that boots up the raspberry pi from the GPU. How come you want to make your own?

Can anyone confirm that the instructions in this series will work with a Raspberry Pi Zero W?

yes just consider that adresses are different in raspberry pi zero
