Thank you very much for this great tutorial 👍😁 I'm really looking forward to your future videos. I currently only have a RasPi4B with 4GB RAM. Will it run faster after installing Flutter and VS Code, or should I get the 8GB RAM version?

Thanks for the feedback. For a development system where you can code and debug for testing on the hardware you will need 8G of ram. After testing you can build the release version and run it on a pi with 4G of Ram. Last year I did a series of three videos showing how to use a Pi with 4G of ram to develop but you cannot debug. When you build the release version of your flutter embedded app on the pi there are no speed issues. One work around for you is to use a Ubuntu Linux machine to do a lot of your coding and then using GitHub open the project on the Pi to build for release and test.

Hi there, do you think the 4GB model would be enough for Flutter?

Hi, for a development system it will require 8G of RAM to test your app in Debug Mode and to build your release version of the app. You can and must install Flutter and Dart on the "target" Raspberry Pi Model 4B with 4G of RAM. Then you can copy the release version (bundle folder with all of the files) from your development system and copy - run it on a target Raspberry Pi Model 4B with 4G of RAM. Let me know if this answers your question. FYI my tests of trying to develop on a Pi with 4G is that it would crash when trying to debug because Flutter requires a minimum of 8G of RAM. However, I run my release version on a Pi with 4G of RAM with no issues.
