I'm having a wee problem with my zAccel readings. For some reason (I've tried another MPU6050 chip) I am getting a reading of approx .5 G's instead of 1.0 G's, If I multiply the mpu.accel.z result by 2 then my program run fine with the expected results. Anyone out there have any ideas about what might be wrong here? I'm running the same code as Paul here so I'm pretty sure that it's not a code problem.

Are you using the sunfounder kit, and the MPU6050 from the kit? There are some batches of MPU6050 which are not the same, I have heard.

Paul, I am not using a MPU from the Sunfounder kit as I have three or four of these laying around. I failed to mention that all three (x,y and z) report a maximum reading of .5. To get around this, I multiply these readings by 2. xAccel=round(mpu.accel.x,1)*2 yAccel=round(mpu.accel.y,1)*2 zAccel=round(mpu.accel.z,1)*2 This seems to fix the problem. I was just wondering if this was a common problem. @@paulmcwhorter
