@@jacqueskirstein9833 well Jac I agree with all that you've said and makes a lot of sense but I don't see supersport changing their ways and adapting with modern media platforms, it'll always be teasers here and there to showcase bits and pieces. supersport will remain conservative till they crash and burn

Rassie, perhaps you ought to also consider that not all sports people play Rugby in Ireland, of a relatively tiny 4,000,000 population. In fact, Rugby is but Ireland's number three sport. But we try not to disappoint, for all our short-comings. We do find it a wee bit difficult to understand Afrikaans humour, but that is perhaps because Celtic humour is markedley different to Germanic humour. The English call us, 'The mad Irish. We find that funny😉 We call them 'less funny' things, at times, so we are on a more level playing field with you there, perhaps😉. You are a wonderful Rugby side, you have our deep respect and highest admiration for that. We will try our best against you, but we realise that facing you in your Parish will be "Testing".🤟🏴‍☠☘😊 God bless South Africa.

Rassie is great value tbf ! No chance he believes half what he says but it makes it all a bit more fun . The media thing is completely one way though …. Everyone in Ireland just scratching their head thinking ‘ what are they on about’. Farrell obviously won’t engage and the result will be sweet for whomever performs best .

"What are they on about" Firstly Irish media in recent years has been disrespectful towards the springboks with things that were said(OTB and Virgen Media) and it is this disrespect that has fuelled South Africans and even the players. Hope that makes it clear and best of luck for the series.

Lovely selection.. WE SIMPLY HAVE TO WIN THE SERIES. 1st test MOST crucial as it puts pressure on the Irish to avoid a series white watch. Further, this is our 1st test as World Champions. Certainly not the correct time to experiment with too many new combos, and certainly not against The "Nr1 Team". I expect Boks to win by 11points!!

Funny, after the WC defeat, all I heard was that Irelands win didn't matter, as the boks don't care about games outside WC knockout games. Ireland players, currently at the end of a 13 month season, out of form and energy, missing a number of key players, away from home and at their weakest for several years and all of a sudden its a must win game, probably because everything is stacked in boks favour, so they can say how great they are in front of home fans,hence all the hype, if you can't win these games then the boks would be the biggest chokers of all time, boks haven't beaten Ireland in an away game since 2012, it's really a brawn v brains contest and the brains have had the upper hand in recent games.

Your victories in 6Nations is immaterial. Truly as immaterial as being THE RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP winners. It doesn't mean you're best in the world.. You have to play AGAINST THE BEST, to become the best. Your CONSTANT CHOKING.. is what your concern should be. Us losing to nr 1 ranked side... wouldn't be choking. It would simply be reflective of the state of world rugby. Your excuses of 13 month season, out of form and energy don't hold water. In fact, I haven't found a single commentary from players nor administration that speaks of exhaustion or poor form. Ireland is here to prove they are the best.. and we have accepted the challenge - which means.. THE NEED TO WIN 1st game AT ALL COSTS. That, is simply make sure you lead you to crumbling pressure - and a series white wash. But, do stay tuned. I expect great rugby from both sides.. AND NO EVIDENCE OF FATIGUE OR BURNOUT.

Wouldn't hurt to give it a go but if he's cricket knowledge is poor ( which i strongly doubt) , then you might as well give the coaching job to my late Granny. He has to have the love for the sport entrenched in all facets of he's life (as he do rugby ) to be successful. I doubt his passion for cricket is the same... Not a bad idea tho. Hope im wrong.

No you live in your own bubble or your tv shows sardines. Bongi shocking last year, that is very rich, Marx is not fully fit, still needs a gallop or two. Bongi is the best set piece hooker in the world, he will miss a line out or two, i don't know what rugby you were watching, he is the best scrummaging hooker in the world even compared to Marx, This is one reason why not everyone can coach, Malcom is a loose forward that plays hooker and brilliant in the loose and foraging but not better than bongi in the primary hooker role, bongi isn't dynamic and Malcolm is. Marx will contest and win the break down contest because he is first and will a loose forward, he wasn't always a hooker, this where Heyneke meyer should get credit, he is residing for Marx converting to hooker from flank in the era where Bismarck du Plessis was prominent while Marx was a grade 11 learner at Kes. Bongi is yet to play a bad match for the boks, don't be delusional and one eyed, Rassie will not persist with an underwhelming player. That's why he is the coach while you and I are not and commenting on KZbin sites.
