I recall sometime between 2019 and 2023, Rassie also made it clear that they follow about 90 players. By 2 years out from the WC they have about 50 identified and build 'game-minutes'. Then about 35 for the final year. I remind myself, this is only year ONE!!!

Hi, I find it incredible that the Springboks are underdogs going in!! I know you say the stats say that but SA are back to back WCs, the squad is packed to capacity with great talent, experience and playing on home ground! Hey thanks mate, from a bok fan I wish you and your team all the best, the boks are waiting, Ireland have only won one test match in SA ever, so it's gonna be a challenge indeed, but Farrell is a smart coach, he has already won a series in NZ so there's not much need to doubt his ability, if he wins a series against the Boks in SA, he would go down as one of the greatest rugby coaches of all time.

Thanks Jordan, love the channel. Great that the strategy is geared much more toward keeping up with Ireland in their running passing game. With the new rules still needing to be tried we seem to be looking for more speed in the reserves. Rassie does what he does to prepare and send the best men to meet the challenge as always

Just my opinion; Rassie is building depth that most of T1 rugby union nations wished they could build. Rassie is treating the nonplaying member of the team more like enlarge bench of players that he could called upon when the actual players are laying including starters and closers/reserve. ​@@mag101ablelooks solid. I'd swap cobus and grant around. And swap Franco and RG. Think starting Cobus and Franco offers more stability. They both can also play a full match easily if required. Then if required Grant can cover halfback and wing off the bench, his speed in the second half is more of a threat as well. RG can cover both lock positions if needed, and if not chasing a deficit nice to have the option to take Eben off to manage his game time (I'm hoping the manage his playing time much better in this 4 year cycle).

I thought about that but my thinking is you want to give RG and Grant more game time from the starting whistle and then bring on experienced players like Mostert and Reinach to see off the game cos it's probably gona be a tight game and cool heads will be needed in the dying minutes but the nice things is we have depth, probably best ever so it's a win win@@evanh8749

Kolisi is being carried by the team. He plays barely 50 minutes every game and is off form. There are way better players available in his position. Time to take sentiment out the equation. Kolisi has been a great Bok but he is way off form and he is no youngster at 33.....
