Ms Treasie you spoke so much truth and I believe you are sincere. No matter what happened in your upbringing the average parent did what they could raising their children with the knowledge they had at that time and with whatever resources they had at that time. Children (grown ass kids) are always comparing themselves to other ppl or families. Everybody don't have the same knowledge and resources. Sometimes parents are really just doing the best they can. Then when they become parents and you start pointing out things they need to do better with parenting now, they mad instead of taking advice from a parent who has already raised kids
