Please ignore the foolishness of 'thatguyashe's comments. I am a white, english, raised a catholic, but in an area of diverse cultures. I myself have studied the bible (and also teachings which seem 'conveniently' left out) from what i've read, Rastafari isn't about hate, its about love and being true to yourself, your brothers and sisters, and the fulfillment of your destiny as prophesised in the bible. Rastas I know are among the most caring, educated and righteous people I have ever met.

I'm a white boy dread myself.I've done my homework.I've read on Marcus & Ras.I respect this movement.I always have.I've been dread for 12yrs now.I don't claim to take on the movement.I respect it.I dread because I feel I can't stop.I don't know why I started.There is a certain spirituality from locking, I feel.I think to many people claim Ras Tafari that don't understand what they are saying...no disrespect to the person who commented.He's right though.Know of what you say and say it loud.

y do u say haile selassie is god ?...i read history on haile selassie and he told the rastas who came to his palace that he is not god!...theres only one god jehovah ,(jahovah)...and his son jesus died for our sins......Selassie read the Bible... if he was God he wouldnt need to read the bible....just my opinion from what i read on haile selassie...maybe u know something i dont know...and yes i used to follow rastafari beliefs......until i read the bible and about selassie...

@j5172458 you are missing the point. we are all humans yes, but the black afrikan is the original human. whites and their offspring (including me, my mamma's white) are deviations from the what we were supposed to be. the more melanin a being has the more in tune with spirituality. My way of looking at things not violence, its peace. make love not war, and soon everyone will go back to black because of the dominant black genes. how is any of what i have said ignorance or violent? peace

Furthermore you gotta admit - all black people DO look the same - white people have all shades of colour skin from pasty white to bronze hair colour from blonde to Brunnette to Black to Ginger and all the shades in between. Eye colour Blue - to green to Hazell - etc etc. and all the different combo's of all the above.
