nicktheghosthost999 hey, did you know I’m the biggest fan of your Haunted Mansion show on mice-chat.com/ I was riding Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World for the first time in December 2008. It was scary when I was little, but when I go on it for the first time, I didn’t get scared at all, it was a great ride, and is this video that I’m watching. Pretty cool isn’t it nick?

I love hearing all the people cheer when Jack's face shows up in the stretching room! I remember when this first came out and my parents took me on it. I was terrified of the Haunted Mansion but my parents loved it, we had recently watched the Nightmare before Christmas for the first time that year and we loved it so when this over lay came out we immediately made plans to go ride it. I loved this so much and it helped me get over my fear of this ride; as an adult I love Haunted Mansion and Haunted Mansion Holiday now, it's my favorite ride in the park. I had forgotten how much has changed since that first year!

Apparently this season was low budget so the Christmas presents were literally cardboard boxes and the paintings in the stretching room were posters taped over the original painting

YourAmericanHellraiser well the Stretching Room portraits would take a long time to set just right so they put the HMH portraits over the normal ones

Well everything was cheap due to audiences reactions, they didn’t want to spend too much money on something the public would possibly be mixed on. So they simply didn’t add much, after 2003 they changed everything other than The Stretching room since it would be painful to take down the original portraits just to put on the HMH portraits and the boxes since they were just presents. THEY DID change the music if you didn’t notice, added Oogie boogie, and overall made it even better!

I'm currently watching POV's across all years, mostly to see the different gingerbread houses. It's awesome to see all the subtle differences across the years too. Major ones too, like Oogie, Sally, the opening character mashup instead of just Jack, etc.

I remember being blindsided and terrified when I saw this overlay for the first time 20 years ago, partially because I had never seen Nightmare Before Christmas. Cut to now and I would argue HMH stands next to the classic Haunted Mansion as one of my favorite rides at Disneyland
