*TRANSLATOR NOTES:* “期待” or “kitai” can be translated as expectation, hope, or anticipation, and so I took two of those meanings to the line “期待, 期待”. You could also simply translate it as “expectation(s), expectation(s)” , “hope(s), hope(s)”.. Etc. During the “mental breakdown” portion of the song, (I’m destroyed, I’m scared.. Etc.) The Japanese lyrics provided in the description of the video become distorted with weird, ancient kanji symbols and katakana that are not needed, therefore making this part of the translation process difficult. “My brain’s insides meeting their end” is an interesting line in the original lyrics, because it reads as “脳ノ09まデゑ” which roughly translates to “Brain’s 09 at the end”, along with an ancient Japanese symbol, “ゑ” which seemingly has no significance here. I thought about this for a while, wondering what on earth “brain’s 09” is supposed to mean. 09 is given as おく on the wiki, and is said in the song itself, with おく meaning “inside” or “interior”, however, 09 (or just 9) can either be said as く or きゅう in Japanese. く meaning “suffering” or “agony”. Perhaps an alternate translation to this line could be “My brain’s suffering is at its end.” The lines “help me, help me” is originally “助けテ, たすけ手”. The テ in the first one is meant to be て, but was changed to katakana for the “glitched” or “incorrect” feel. The direct translation is still “help me”. たすけ手 however, has no meaning. Both are pronounced “tasukete”, however instead of て, 手 (the kanji for “hand”) is used. Take this as you will, both lines still mean “help me” but I thought it was interesting. The Japanese text right before the screaming is “ヤルしカナい, やる詩カナ遺から”. Both are pronounced “yaru shika nai” (with kara being at the end of the second one), however the text is “distorted” with kanji and katakana. You could potentially dig through this and find some sort of hidden meaning in the kanjis within this line and the screaming and distortion lines that follow in the original Japanese lyrics. I believe the (DOWN DOWN DOWN DOWN) portion right after the disheveled text to be from 2:48, during the shriek of pure agony. While this “lyric” is not present in the song, you can hear morse code going off in the background, and so I think this is what that is!
