why didn't you just fix the audio by cutting out the echo and adding music+commentary over later? this whole shit is half-assed, coulda lured the npcs towards you with ranged or magic to pickpocket/combat and do so much more, set first goal to reach that tree to get xp before moving on, utilize pvp worlds. this is just commentary over doing nothing, like that one guy who spent 20 minutes examining all the terrain around chicken coop.

@GeneralGuy42 I'm an rs3 player, dabbled with osrs a few times but it never really stuck with me. I think it's because while I did playing during that era, I really got into the game during the HD era. Most of my nostalgia comes from that, and rs3 actually feels more similar to it for me. I don't like the new art direction rs3 is taking, but I make do by using the 'classic' cosmetics and stuff to feel closer to that 2010 time. Another big thing is that I find it hard to go back to osrs after being spoiled by all the convenience rs3 has to offer. Call me casual, but I play this game to relax.

@GeneralGuy42 I played rs3 for the longest time because I've always played RS, since classic, and when they removed old school I just continued with my account - then when they brought 07 back I really didn't feel like restarting with slower xp rates playing a game I felt I had "already played". Then I saw just how good all the new content was, and now I exclusively play OSRS since rs3 just doesn't feel as good of a game to me. The bossing was pretty fun with the combat mechanics, sure, but it got way too involved for me in a way that I didn't like (kind of like WoW combat) so I don't really regret dropping it.

I'm thinking your best bet is to get to the magic tutor asap, because they give goh 30 air strike casts every half an hour and that's also on the way to the general store AND to the wc tutor. It's also next to a Man spawn, imp spawn and some goblins, so I think it's a great first stop.

None of the stuff on Tutorial Island he had tiles for. So while it's necessary to go through it, he likely considers it as cheating in. He also could have farmed xp while he was in there. Starting from absolute scratch on the other hand is ideal for the true experience. An additional challenge for the sake of it.

Great concept! Unfortunately there’s so many great OSRS content creators who have been making vids for a while, that the bar of quality is already kind of high. so expect some negativity in the comments around the audio quality, minimal editing, etc. But it’s clear you’ve got a great idea here, so keep at it, and i’m sure you’ll improve in both the in-game challenge and the content creation as you go. good luck!

I really wish you didn't drop the stuff from tutorial island, would've been so much easier to range/mage stuff so they came into meele distance on your tile so you could attack em with the bronze sword you had while also having the shield/having the axe you dropped would've allowed you to get that tree so much earlier too instead of having to reach the wc guy This just showed on my recommended right as I was looking for a rs series to binge, unique concept, makes you cherish being closer to a spawn point or being able to pick up loot so that's an instant sub, looking forward to future episodes :)

I think if you keep the sword and shield for combat, and bow/rune for luring man. Probably early game will be much easier, that is like 25 arrow + 15 air strike.

If im not mistaking, the rats get a small amout of time (a few seconds) where they "spawn" and are invisible/un-interactable. normally they sit idle, but occasionally they'll start to pathfind and walk around before being visible. Pretty sure this is to prevent auto-clickers from generating infinite exp on a rat spawn
