Great shooting. In my view, this culling is the most humane when it comes to getting rid of rat plague. I could sit all day watching this video. Unfortunately, it is not allowed to have such firearms in Denmark unless you have a hunting license or a weapons permit. We have to live with that!😊😊😊

Great shooting, another good night there . I can't comment on any other brand of scope but I have the hik alpex and it is a fantastic bit of kit , my only wish is that I saved just a little longer and got the lrf version . Other than that its a game changer .

They're both really good. The Hittac is extremely lightweight and compact. It's currently sat in my Weihrauch HW100 ready for winter squirrelling.

I wouldn't have any regrets on either scope to buy. I'm leaning more on Chris's scope because the cross hairs have a wicked look to it. Great shooting to both of you guys, keep them heads rollin.

You can change the crosshairs to whatever you want. Several reticle options in the menus for both.

I'm seriously tempted to have a look at the Hitac LRF model, as I think I'll end up being built like Arnie with the weight of my Alpex sat on top of the HW100. LOL

I understand what you mean about the weight of the Alpex, plus adding more weight with a IR torch. I was using the Cyansky K3-I9 torch. The Hittac uses a built in IR which is perfect. So lightweight.

So do you have a preference on the scopes, a lot of UTube shooters have been sent the hittac to try. Looking for a new day night scope for my HW110 in .22 They now doing the Hik cheaper as most people don't need the IR torch.

It comes down to personal choice and you wouldn't be disappointed with either. You will see the Hittac and Alpex still being used on my channel throughout the winter. The Alpex has very clear and crisp footage but needs an external IR torch, more expensive and is surprisingly heavy. The Hittac is a little bit less user friendly, but has a built in IR, LRF (optional), extremely lightweight but the eye piece is quite small. They have their pros and cons.

The Hik are between £700-£800 and come with an externally mountable torch. The Hittac has a built in IR torch and there is a LRF version also, they're extremely lightweight. Look at the pinned comment or video description for link.

Most of the rats didn't die immediately, some of them continued flapping around for as long as the camera remained on them and their struggles showed little sign of abating. Many years ago, I watched National Geographic film footage of a daylight cull of prairie dogs in the American Midwest; the riflemen used 25x scopes and fired plastic tipped ammo. The prairie dogs flew into pieces on impact, death was of course instantaneous.

Exactly. I live in the state of Kentucky, and the Cardinal (red bird) is the state bird. I have 5 bird feeders for winter and see Cardinal wings and remains on the ground around the feeders. It is a Panasonic HCVX870 (I think) but I use an external torch sat on top. The built in one only works about 1 metre.
