It would take an astronomical amount of money and man-hours, considering there was already a remastered collection of the PS2 games released on the PS3 and the rest of the games were PS3/handheld titles. All eight on the main story games altogether on one disc for everyone to either catch up on the story or to experience the earlier legacy games from the ps2. I believe it would be a massive seller since the Ratchet and Clank games have been around for about 2 decades now and the older games don't really get the same attention as the newer games have now. R&C: Tools of Destruction and Quest For Booty are sooooo underrated! They came out early in the PS3’s lifecycle (never got retroactive trophy support either since they came out before trophies were a thing), and a lot of people’s first PS3 R&C was A Crack In Time. Both ACiT and ITN were great games, but the humor, storyline, levels, and gadgets in ToD were much better IMO. I actually liked the sixaxis gadget gimmicks. I played a good chunk of it again late last year and it still holds up in places!

One thing I really respect about Ratchet and Clank is how they've been telling a broadly continuous story since 2007's Tools of Destruction. Like no other video game franchise does this because it's really hard to have a continuous story in gaming over an extended period of time. But R&C figured out how to tell the story in isolated segments that can be separated into different games while still having the continuous narrative thread of the Dimensionator and Lombaxes linking it all together It's a simple enough story and structure that new players can jump and figure out what's happening while expanding the story for returning players, it's the perfect multi-chapter video game story! It's fantastic and avoids the pitfalls of franchise like Kingdom Hearts that are so absurdly complicated after all these years that you need to read loads of extra material just to understand what's going on!

05:30 Uhm... At that point of the game its allready been revealed that Qwark is still alive. In fact you have a mission prior to the final mission where Ratchet confronts Qwark in his own hideout where he's shown Qwarks cowardice towards Nefarious.. Ratchet finds out about the location of this hideout after he got the fifth and final vid comic from Slim Cognito (the one Qwark thought he destroyed all copies from, because they reveal the truth about what really happened) Qwark turns Ratchets offer to become a hero once again down because he's too afraid.. Honestly I just wished they stayed true to the dark tone of the game. I feel that’s when R&C was at its best! The original 4 is the best R&C’s ever made (in my opinion personally) but I just love the dedication and originality of the old school games. I skipped a lot of them after Deadlocked, but now playing Rift Apart, so hopefully it does justice for the series. But definitely the old tone and style of the original R&C games were the best and still will remain victorious in my opinion. And after quark faked his death on the exploding ship he was too cowardly to come back forcing Ratchet and Clank to seek him out and pep-talk him into returning. As for The Great Clock, the whole conflict about it is everyone who knows about it wants to use it to alter history, but as explained the clock is merely meant to keep time stable across the universe. Attempting to use it to greatly alter the past would risk the universe being destroyed. And it was nearly the case, the ripple effect of that providing the cause for dimensions weakening in following game.

you love Rachet & Clank and you're a returning player. I suggest you start playing at the most difficulty level, otherwise it will seem to easy and boring. I had a great time and enjoyed the game more playing it on Renegade Legend. Super fun!!!

And a proper one, like seriously keep the style, the dialogue, the soundtrack and everything and just throw modern graphics with 4k and that's it. Going Comando is such a piece of work, I'd even like to replay it as it on my PS5 in 4k.

If you haven't, please, plug in a PS3 and do yourself the service of playing Crack in Time. It's easily the best in the series, by far.

Ratchet and clank up your arsenal is by far the greatest game of theirs. It was leaps and bounds ahead of its predecessors, with going commando coming in an easy second place. At least in my opinion lol.

In my personal opinion Going Commando is the best of the original 4, and believe it or not quest for bounty is my favourite of the future series, Going commando being the best of them all. I personally like all the games except for deadlocked, secret agent clank, the offbrand game with the robot girl, and into the nexus. Everything else is gaming and cinematic gold.
