its 2022, and i have started the walkthrough of the second installment of Ratchet and Clank. This is the real nostalgia one for me. I played RaC 1 when i was a tiny little boy, but i remember i got it right before RaC2 came out, therefore i didnt play it as much as this game. Here is really where my story of nostalgia begins with this series. So excited to get immersed in this brilliant new galaxy, acompanied by the most chill and relaxed commentary. You're going to love the weapons in this game man, this game also adds in so many mechanics that make it a lot better, I'm sure you've already seen a bunch of this already though. [Such as weapon upgrading, health upgrading, strafing, etc.]

in the world of ratchet & clank everything is breakable so you should keep a lookout for anything that is breakable (hint: just hit everything and you will probably get bots from it and you don't have to spend all your bots on ammo you will get them crakes but if you do run out of ammo on one of your guns just use the ranch until you get a good amount ammo if you are trying to lvl up a certain gun) but this is one of those ratchet & clank games i missed out on playing so i really excited to see you play it good luck man.

the guns can level up ALOT more, i just think you have to hit certain story triggers in order to continue leveling them up, that way you arent overpowered when you get to the next boss and so on, there's a lot to do in this game, and the next one after this.

bdcool213 The ramp, you need Gravity Boots. They're won in planet Joba. You need to progress further until you reach the Megacorp Games. So don't forget to come back to Oozla with those boots, you'll find a rare item that helps you see things on the map that are GREEN.

bdcool213 It's just like Tools of Destruction, except that series had Flashing Areas that have RYNO IV holo-plans, Raritanium, Gold Bolts, and secrets that lurk within. If you play that one, try finding the secret on Kreeli Comet with the Iris Supercomputer, it will activate Clank's secret. I've been trying to do it when I played it 25 times, even through Challenge Mode.

Weapons level up once, so you might as well switch off when done, and they do get progressively stronger, so finishing the early ones first is best, though the game goes by which weapon finished the enemy, so you could whittle them down then kill them with the desired weapon you want the XP for. Gold bolts have been replaced by platinum, and are use for upgrading weapons. Raritanium is used to upgrade your ship. I wouldn't stress over not buying ammo, the price to refill is peanuts in the long run. Don't worry too much about missing stuff, you'll get a mapomatic later that'll tell you where the secrets are, so quick return to planets can be done then.

You can only level up weapons once in this game, and then you can buy the next upgrade in challenge mode which you can also upgrade that also. The next game Up Your Arsenal has much more levels for weapon upgrades.

There are no gold bolts in this game btw, again like my previous post mentioned, platinum bolts are much more useful in this game compared to the gold bolts in the first game.

I wish Insomniac Games went back to its roots and did what they're best at. I feel like the Ratchet and Clank PS4 game was a failed attempt to give people something new. I wish they based their games off of what they did good in the trilogy. After a Crack in Time, Ratchet and Clank kind of went downhill :( #MakeRatchetAndClankGreatAgain

@@TheMaan2008 it was too short for me. Personally, I loved the game but after they made A Crack in Time, they made All 4 One and Full Frontal Assault, which were pretty bad tbh. Then, they made Into the Nexus, which while being a great game only had 5 planets. For a Ratchet and Clank game to be good in my opinion, we would need a longer game, a harder one, less in-game dialogue and better soundtracks. Both the PS4 R&C and into the nexus were very short (though into the nexus was definitely shorter). The PS4 R&C game in particular was too easy, the storyline was terrible and for every single move I did, Ratchet would make a comment like in the train section were he couldn't stop sayint a word. And let's not talk about that vendor saying stuff mid-game like, "you've got enough bolts to buy yourself a Pixelizer." Those were the absolute worst. If I wanted to buy a weapon I'd buy it. I felt like the soundtracks in the trilogy were so much better than the ones on the PS4. I've actually analysed why and it seems like the tracks on the PS4 use a lot of brass and string instruments (ie. Trumpets and violins) while the ones in the trilogy use a lot of percussion instruments and a bit of the other ones (which in my opinion was much better). In the trilogy they also used more instruments and on the PS4, for almost every track you could literally hear the same instruments being used over and over again.

@@Ricky911_ I agree with your comment completely! Glad to see someone else thinking the same way as me. I also hate the fact that Ratchet talks too much in the new games. I think Insomniac was trying to copy other popular games that make characters talk throughout gameplay (while playing, not cutscenes) which is annoying and unnecessary. Other things I agree with you is that the games should be longer with increased difficulty. The PS4 version also had boring interactions when Ratchet would communicate with NPCs. It would be fun if all of us fans gathered together and created our own Ratchet game. We would make it so long and amazing with our ideas!

bdcool213 In Challenge Mode, you'll be able to purchase Mega Weapons and upgrade to Ultra Mode. But you must play Challenge Mode to get Mega Weapons. Mega Weapons are upgraded models of the weapon you upgraded normally, so be on the lookout when it is maxed to Orange. Mega is Yellow and costs more bolts. Watch that Multiplier in Challenge Mode to earn big hordes of Bolts!

Maaan I did not sit through the entire first game playthrough just to find out you skipped to the *at the time* most recent game before going to the second one. Really turns me off from wanting to continue. I hate when people go and spoil themselves for no particular reason. Lessens the experience overall :/
