"I wonder what that infobot is for?" "Maybe it can replace you!" Ah the days where the characters had some real depth. Ratchet used to look up to Quark, yet now he's pissed that he let himself get talked into all this. And that his imagined hero is just another sell out who tried to have him killed. He's pretty touchy with Clank for most of the game following this. It's really quite beautiful at the end when he makes up with Clank, they develop and grow like real friends.

Facing this beast for the first time was a core memory for me, as a kid. It was a sunny Friday afternoon, I was playing the PS2, and I saw this beast and the massive health bar. I was UTTERLY convinced it was impossible, but just as I was about to try, I was called down for dinner. French fries! Good times...

As a kid this was among the very first ps2 games I ever played. My cousin was playing this part in his room and I was enamoured. All I knew was nintendo 64 and this blew my young mind. He fought this boss with combat I never saw before and started me on my own gamer path. This game will forever hold a place in my heart and soul.

I remember getting to the snagglebeast and instantly shItting myself (metaphorically). I managed to get him down to the last pip of health when he activated the third shield, and I couldn't find the third bridge. I thought that the ryno was the only weapon able to pierce the shield, so I grinded 3 days just to get thw bolts for it. Needless tobsay I was disappointed

​@@superlombax1561 All three showed their fatal flaws here. Clank couldn't see the obvious trap because he was naive due to being half-Zoni. Qwark betrayed Ratchet and Clank because he was prideful and ambitious. Then Ratchet betrays Clank out of wrath, being consumed by blind rage and having no empathy for anyone. All three had to eventually overcome their flaws throughout the franchise. Ratchet learned to control his temper and became empathetic, Clank became more world-weary and alert, and Qwark, while still somewhat prideful, would not let his ambitions cloud him (as badly), leading to him risking his life several times to aid R&C in later games.

(retroactively) Ratchet had NO RIGHT to mistreat Clank that way over a simple mistake. But he was still just ~14 years old, had no family, lived alone with little contact with others, and saw his idol turn out to be a crook, so his mental health would've been fragile at that point. It's only thanks to Clank's manipulations that Ratchet didn't become a villain and the embodiment of Wrath.

@@maestrofeli4259 I probably had the most trouble on Drek, I kept running out of ammo, then running out of bolts to buy the ammo, then having to go to a different planet to grind for more, only for it to be spent on ammo.
