You have to watch this series. It's the best adaptation of the Manga. I must say that the Taiwanese Meteor Garden is the most ICONIC (I'm a solid, true blue F4 Fan. Watched all their concerts here) but the 2018 is the best among all MG versions.

I remember MG 2001 being a good drama. Now, it's difficult to watch and to recapture the good feelings I once had for it because it looks dated and the quality is poor. In other words, I no longer feel that it's that great anymore. China has done a wonderful job with modernizing their version. One thing I loved is that they got rid of the amnesia arc which I hated in MG 2002 (Shan Cai was treated only as a supporting character, IMO). If there's to be a wedding in this one, like what Japan did in their version, MG 2018 will most likely end up being in my top five favorite Asian dramas of all time.

Before natin i judge young series panoorin muna natin. Nung una medyo may doubts ako sa series pero nung pinanood ko yung mga clips nya at nag start na ako panoorin kada episode ang masasabi ko lang is THUMBS UP 9/10 tong series aside sa eto na pinaka malapit na character ni Dao Ming Si dun sa original manga story na character ni Tsukasa Domyouji as in yung personality, looks at age, e nakuha narin nila talaga halos ng buo yung original plot nung story na wala dun sa unang series na MG 1 na halos naiba yung version nito nabasa ko na yung manga nito and I would say MG 2018 ang pinaka malapit sa original story though hindi ko pa napanood yung sa Japanese Live Action version nito which is originally japan made talaga pero madaming nagsasabi na maganda siya (PS. I was a fan of the first METEOR GARDEN it was part of my childhood days and true they were phenomenal sila halos nagpalakas sa mga ASIAN dramas sa Pinas no doubts) Pero huwag natin alisan ng chance tong bagong version dahil may sarili siyang charisma na for new generations talaga na cater and take note yung director/producer ng first MG na si Angie Cai ay siya din ang gumawa nitong bagong version at pumili nung mga gaganap sa mga characters, para nyo narin hindi binigyan ng respeto yung tao na siya din nagpalaganap sa MG Fever noon. (Lahat din ng mga bagong characters e mga newbie na artista si Dylan Wang/DaoMing e newbie talaga like Jerry Yan that time so dumaan lahat yan sa screen test). Tayong may mga edad na pwede ba bawas-bawasan yung pagiging superior sa mga kabataan ngayon , magkaiba ang noon sa panahon ngayon and mostly sa inyo may mga anak na nasa generation today. Bakit lagi nyo nalang dinadown lahat ng bagay today na kinahihiligan ng mga kabataan? instead na iinspired at suportahan natin sila we always keep them from the past na hindi ka cool pag hindi mo naranasan yung mga ganap noon as if it's their fault kung bakit ngayon sila ipinanganak. I love all the things na meron noon na sarap balikan yung simple pa ang buhay pero nasa point nadin ako na na appreciate ko din kung anong meron ngayon. Kung wala tayong magandang sasabihin wag na mag comment huwag masyadong bullies ke tanda tanda na e papatol pa sa mga bata. Hindi ginawa itong series para i beat yung una, hindi ito ginawa para makipag compete. Sabi nga ni Angie Cai na dapat malaman ng kada generations kung ano story ng Meteor Garden pero each versions magkakaiba at naaayon sa panahon para mas ma appreciate nila. Dahil naging parte na siya ng history sa ASIAN televisions. Mapa Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese or Korean pa yan.
