I also have CKD and I've been fighting for a long time, I was 8 yrs old when I was diagnosed and now I'm 22. I'm very thankful that someone (my classmate)noticed na namamaga na katawan ko that day specially my face, that's why I was rushed to the hospital immediately. I made this far maybe because I was guided by the doctor and my parents. I've experienced strict discipline when it comes to food that I eat or to what drink. Tinanggal ko sa sistema ko ang soft drinks because ito yong nakaka trigger and also tumatak sa isip ko ang sinabi ng doctor "Prevention is better than cure" sa sakit na ito he even considered this disease a "traitor" which is true because I never felt any pain at all. The only symptom na malalaman ko umaatake na ito ay pag namamaga na katawan ko. And he explained to me na once masira na ang ko, I only have two choices either I'll end up with Dialysis or Kidney transplant. What keeps me going is my mom words to me, when she told me "Ayaw niyang siya ang humatid sa anak nya sa cementeryo dapat siya ang ihatid ng anak niya. Kasi at least siya maraming na siyang napagdaan sa mundo pero ako daw nagsisimula pa lang." Do not take Kidney Problems lightly. #shareKoLang🙂

Aww I feel the pain, God-centered relationship pa naman. Siguro ate may mas magandang plano si God lalo na sa 'yo, kaya continue living and be healthy po. One day magkikita rin kayo, let's say sobrang layo pa nun. but time will come na magkikita rin kayo at siya mismo yung susundo sa'yo. Nung namatay lolo ko, parang andun pa rin presence nya until now. Guys ALWAYS... as in ALWAYS listen to your body. Kapag may nakikita kayong iba o nararamdaman na hindi normal sa inyo before, magpa consult agad sa doctor. DENIAL talaga first reaction ng tao kasi normal lang na matakot o maging anxious sa result pero there is a higher chance of getting better if its prevented early kesa sa nasa treatment stage na. I'm so happy that God is the center of their relationship. Bihira yung ganito. RIP Patrick.

For sure, his breathlessness was there for a while way before his death. I, too, have chronic renal disease so I can relate to his symptoms. One can only speculate as to why he didn’t opt for a kidney transplant and just have a quiet wedding with minimal exertion but, from the videos, he clearly still enjoyed his wedding.

Kidney Transplant is very expensive, plus all the maintenance medications is very expensive too. Not all people with CKD is good candidate for kidney transplant. Some can't have kidney transplant due to the damage of their heart due to constant fluid overload.

@Don Espoleto breathlessness is due to fluid overload. After dialysis he feel well because the dialysis machine already remove the excess fluid and toxins out of his body.
