Rathcoole Protestant Boys FB Paying Homage to Rifleman James Whiteside

Rathcoole Protestant Boys FB Paying their respects for one of their members Dean McManus who’s Great Great Great Uncle paid the ultimate sacrifice. This rifleman lost his life at the age of 18, which is also the same age as Dean. This video was recorded within the 500km radius that this young man lost his life. A very emotional time for dean and the band. A lone flutist played Amazing Grace during this service. Dean was also lucky enough to find some trench art, it was a used bullet shell with the smell of gun powder still very strong over 100 years on.
