I love when youtube recommends me someone who matches my reading style so well. Now I need to go through all your videos to find those enemies-to-lovers recommendations. Seeing Mitch Albom's book reminded me of his book "Five people we meet in heaven". I'm not a very religious person but I read this when I was about 13-14 and I made me sob. More than 10 years later and I still think about it but never went back to reread. Tuesdays with Morrie might be something I need to put in my list.

Enemies to lovers doesn’t work for me. When there is hate - I mean, REAL HATE -, the characters finding out they suddenly love each other makes no sense. Personally, I prefer friends to lovers.

When Cliches and tropes are done well, we enjoy it. When they’re done poorly, we hate it because within the cliche and trope there’s the actual writing and plot and characters and if one or two of those are flat then it’s boring or irritating. ❤ We love cliches because we do know what to expect. However, if the reliance is on the trope and not what’s important in the story as a whole, then the trope becomes the victim of the books failings.

Khalilah you should read Devine Rivals. I've read the first book even tho it's presented as the enemies to lovers but it's more rivals to lovers. I didn't read the second book but I can't wait to read the second book. This book for me was so cute and adorable with Roman and Iris And the end of the book is so sad. I had so many emotions while reading this book. I am just like you I've read some books from Tiktok I got into them with high expectation and well.. I didn't go well, but Devine Rivals I just fell in love with that book and I can't wait to get my hands on the second book. By the end of the book I was screaming at Rebecca for doing that lol. Rebecca really broke my heart in the end of the book 😭😭

I also loved Tuesdays with Morrie! I don't generally love books by Mitch Albom, because they tend to feel a bit preachy to me, but there are some that just really hit for me, including The Time Keeper and The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto. Both fiction. Beautiful, magical.

I love your videos! I watch all your videos as soon as they come out, so I’m very sorry if I insult you in any way it’s not my intention. I can’t help noticing that you say the word literally a great deal. Often where it’s not even necessary (not a literal situation) this video in particular you used the word 28 times in a 28 minute video, that’s an average of once every minute, maybe try using a different word instead,. It gets very repetitive.
