2:30 As soon as the part where "the top item on the stack resolves" step is reached, the top Primordial Spell resolves instead. Thus it bypasses stuff like "whenever a player casts a spell, counter that spell" and can kill before "When a player casts a spell, they lose 1 life" kills you. Pretty good 4:34 It can be cast as a force spike if you discard it with something else, an ability force spike if you cycle it, or as both at once if you discard it with it's own cycling. It's better than Make Dissappear because it takes 2 free spells to counter it if they can't pay. 1:45:36 Very good with cards that set P/T to 2 like the bear queen. Just make sure it doesn't lose abilities 1:45:42 Also, very good with equipment or enchantments that say "Equipped creature gains 'whenever an opponent [does X], this creature deals 1 damage to that opponent" because it's not combat damage

21:00 you could use infernopotence at the end of the turn just before yours. So people do get a strong signal that you are about to get convert any spare life you have into cards for your next turn, but you don't have to commit to the amount you spend until then (or unless it is about to be destroyed). I think it would be more chaotic/risky if the pay life ability could only be used at sorcery speed and change it to exile the cards face down to make it more dramatic while awaiting your next turn.

I'd say that instead of being like Split Second, Primordial is more like First Strike, but for spells.

Primordial is basically Split Second, but other Primordial cards can work. Basically, only a counterspell with Primordial can counterspell it.

Cycle of Madness is basically an uncounterable Force Spike that draws you a card that you can cast another Force Spike for an extra blue!

Also resolves before things that trigger on the spell being played. It is probably not enough different than split second to justify such a similar mechanic

26:45 - The card doesn't have to have WUBRG as the casting cost. It just needs to be a 5 mana value spell. E.g. casting Fireball using WUBG for X would allow you to copy that fireball. Or using WUBRG to pay for a Gilded Lotus will get you two of them. If you have something that reduces the cost of your spells, you can still end up only paying WUBRG for it.

20:57 Infernopotence is nuts, you can use it on the opponent's end step, necropotence only gives you the exiled cards on your end step, so you are vulnerable to discard. Also sinergy with a lot of Boros non-sense from exile like Quintorius and Pia
