It’s a reference to a design made a while ago which was a reference made in itself to a trend post-war (?) a long long time ago where women would wear thin layers and drench their clothes and walk out to feel themselves. Doja Cat had the most interesting outfit as it was giving a wet look referencing old French era where women used to douse themselves in water wearing muslin cloth and roam around in summer flaunting their bodies. If anything, the reference of garden of time was caught well. It doesn't have to be extravagant always.

I tried to understand the theme and it was basically everything, garden of time but also subtheme was sea, sand and earth, the poem or story talked about crystal like flowers, then there was also an underlying theme of resurfacing old fashion looks. Like could they maybe decide a bit more narrow, or you know just leave the theme out completely and let ppl wear whatever. Because each time I ask myself, why this outfit, under such a broad collection of themes you can basically explain everything as fitting.
