9:08 so the “flowers” present I’m mafuyu’s card are in fact Ivy. Apparently broadly speaking it represents fidelity, but in this context it represents the control mafuyu’s mom has over her. Ivy is somewhat of an invasive species and takes roots and spread on things rapidly. Here They’re meant to represent the toxic/ abus/Ive relationship her mom cultivate: her mom wants the best for mafuyu but in the process completely takes over her life, ignores her wants and ruined her sense of self to the point mafuyu feels like an emotionless puppet. As if the ivy that is her mother’s expectations was spreading over her and holding her back from living her life or doing anything really. She’s not really crying but close to, her expression is more confused with a mix of fear and maybe anger. Her ripping the ivy off herself is symbolism to show that she is starting to break free from her mother’s control, as the event revolve around mafuyu starting to realize that her mother isn’t good to her, and is starting to feel more and more uncomfortable and unsafe at home and at school. The reason that she makes this expression is because while she is starting to realize that her mom is mistreating her and that she needs to disobey her if she ever wants to heal, she also still loves her very much and feels lost and confused about having to distrust her after spending so much of her life trying to please her and be the perfect daughter. The ivy is also displayed in a way that is very similar to puppet strings, like her marionnette event, and could also represent v3ins to go with the whole hospital theme of the set + the fact that her situation is pretty much life or death for her because of how much it harms her mental health Hope this helped ! I love talking about mafuyu she’s such an interesting and well written character

ALLEN was the one who suggested the switch iirc, Riliane actually didn't want to go through with it to the point when Allen had to LOCK HER IN ANOTHER ROOM so she doesn't intervene. I had to check the comments to make sure there were already people correcting the Rin and Len/Rilliane and Allen thing because it was driving me insane because you were so close but so far from getting what was going on in those cards. But yeah, it’s focused on what seems to be the other twin because Allen swapped clothes with her to save her. In general, the Evillious cards are just ones that make more sense with a little bit of context on the songs. Though the song series is notoriously convoluted, Daughter of Evil and Servant of Evil are a bit easier ones to understand.

I actually have a lot to say about kanade holding the lid. The overall idea is that she's trying to protect mafuyu from her mother. The reasons I think that are that, first, she keeps it shut so mafuyus mom can't access her and hurt mafuyu. That also references the song engeki and the video you made, what it means to be free, that kanade feels mafuyu will be destroyed by her mother. She doesn't want the lid to be taken off so she holds it tight, which makes me think opening it would allow the apple inside to be bitten out of more than it already has. Her body language and how she puts the jar to one side also shows that she's trying to keep the butterfly, aka mafuyu as far away from her as possible, That brings me to remember engeki and the other video you made what it means to be free because it shows kanades resentment for mafuyus mother. Her face shows disgust for her mother as well. The butterfly represents mafuyu, purple being her signature color. On mafuyus mothers point of view, the butterfly glowing shows how mafuyu is so perfect in her mothers eyes.

one of my absolute FAVORITE cards is white knight tsukasa, who i was fortunate enough to spark for (shout out to past me for leaving so much stuff unfarmed since i didnt know a lot about how to get crystals LMFAO). i cant remember if i have any others but idc, if i could only have one card white knight tsukasa would be it. one card i rlly want tho is the picnic mizuki (my pfp as of right now 😭). i started playing around the time the event happened and i tried to get it but never did. im hoping i can get it from the character/ticket exchange when its added :,)
