Ma girl Haerin have already caught my attention with her big cat eyes, beautiful voice and mysterious aura. I actually like that she's not too extra with her facial expressions, she does it in a very natural way, her fancams are relaxing I would say. I think she only needs more confidence. Give her few years and you will see the difference. All the members are already so good considering how young they are. Seriously NewJeans are so close to perfection.

But even though I love them, haerin when they debuted looks lost onstage. Hyein and Minji also. Only Danielle and Hanni were making different facial expressions and looked very comfortable... It's changed and they have improved immensely but that was the majority opinion when they debuted seeing their debut stages. Smiling winking also is part of showing presence... No need to put down who smile onstage. If you are nervous it gets to your head and people forget smiling etc... So it's a valid opinion for that time

Honestly, after watching a few of their live singing. Hyein vocals is exactly the same as the one in their recorded songs. she didn't even have to try too hard, and she is only 14 which means her voice is not matured yet (mature voice is around 18+ age) but to be able to not make a mistake in singing is already a great thing for someone their age

It is funny that people evaluate idols based on an imaginary or subjective concept like stage presence although most viewers are not professionals. Who has stage presence? Who can be evaluated by stage presence although there are only a few idols who show stage presence. There is no official center in this group, and each member performs on both center and side. If you just watch one person, her presence becomes larger than others.
