Rating the Epic Bait Molds 1.7” Preybait Mold

I have this mold and I would agree that it is my least favorite mold to shoot! I appreciate your honest review and I agree 100% We do have several other molds from Epic that are really nice to work with and they make beautiful baits!

First video I have seen calling out Epic. Personally don't own any. My impression is too expensive. And agree, why no screws? While they have some intriguing designs, just nothing that I currently need. But you are correct on the "fan boy" callout. Thanks for the video...subscribed

Thanks! I am not really calling them out or anything. They have great customer service and have always been good to me and I own a lot of their molds. I just want to give an honest and unbiased opinion of what I think of the molds. Thanks for the feedback as I appreciate everyone’s thoughts!

The screws get in the way if you clamp them. I dislike having them in the road. I honestly think some of my epic molds have wing nuts though.

I agree with you! To much money for that mold , and not enough cavities. Love to have it but I don’t think it’s worth that kind of money!

As I recall I bought mine years (or a year) back on the Black Friday sale or I wouldn’t have got it myself. Don’t get me wrong, it catches fish, but the new 1.7” Whipwad does much better if sticking with Epic’s lineup.

Which dual injector do you use?

Basstackle all the way! I have tried several others and they were not nearly as good. Never tried N2 but I hear great things about them. Just stay away from anything that claims it is “quality” if you know what I mean.
