There's a big difference between 'paracord' and 'bungee'. The former has typically 30% extension at maximum load of 550lb; it would not have enough give to get it over your hand and still be tight on the wrist. The latter is highly elastic, 100% extension at 100lb, and is likely what you and everyone else uses for this application.

@timgosling6189 Thanks for the note, yes, it is just straight bungee, not paracord. In fairness, I did label it "Bungee Paracord" to add even more confusion. 😁 Thanks for making sure the next viewer to come along gets it right.

hello, good video. Can you tell me how ratio computers work? I'm thinking of buying one but I can`t find any opinions about how well they work. Maybe you can give me your opinion. Thank you

I've only used it for 7 dives and about as many pool sessions, but so far I really like it. We met the Ratio team at DEMA Show a couple weeks ago and had a great conversation about continued improvements. They just had an update come out about a month or two back that added several improvements to the user interface and were very receptive to ideas that would improve usability.

how thick is the rope ?

I used 1/8" bungee. The holes are too small for 1/4" bungee.
