Thanks for checking out dmod! I'm the developer and it really was just an effort to make an authentic gmod for android. It's just the game I wished I had on my phone when I was younger but I was stuck with like Tibers box. I've been working on a cool model importer update for custom weapons, any online downloaded map model and things like that to make it a little more moddable. i remember being really into ultimate sandbox. it was the only gmod clone i saw back then and i had stuck with it for a long time. it was fascinating seeing whole events there, i mean there were clan vs hackers wars, clan wars, the use and misuse of lag bombs and quads, there was a fairly dedicated pvp community and there was a number of glitches that players used as the "meta" for combat. the history in the game was surprisingly rich. it was a great time despite the hacker issue. then the game got picked up by another dev team and while it did breathe life into the game with new content, idk if it was just the players growing up or something but things felt lacking. while the new content and bug fixes were great, i remember it was being dropped bc of a framerate issue that showed up and that people couldn't easily build bases in the skybox bc of item collision being fixed. i haven't played since then so i doubt its alive much. i have dabbled into hypper tho and i do like the complexity it brings with the tools, i just don't know how to use em. playerbase is considerably more active, but idk. its missing that spirit that ultimate sandbox had with clans and whatnot.
